1. Finding ways to address mining development constraints and issues
A) Enhancing rights and interests of the mining industry by strengthening public functions of KMIA
ㅇ Continuing to strengthen public functions of KMIA to enhance the competitiveness of the mining industry.
- Continuing to promote the establishment and revision of provisions related to public functions in the Mining Industry Act in consultation with the Ministry of Trade,Industry and Energy in 2020.
- Promoting mining industry issues such as the establishment of cooperative through KMIA
B) Resolving current issues such as system improvements that occur in mine operations
ㅇ Increasing industry support by expanding the budget for mine damage preventing projects of working mine.
- Utilizing a win-win council for mine damage preventing projects of working mine formed last year.

· Contents: Discuss the current status and improvements of the active mine mining damage prevention system

C) Finding ways to resolve a manpower shortage in mining industry
ㅇ Promoting employment permit for foreign workers
- Visa : 'Visit Employment' H-2 (for korean chinese) stipulated in Article 12 of Enforcement Decree of the IMMIGRATION ACT(Classification of Status of Stay)
- Planning to operate with H-2 permission for 1-2 years
- After that, if there is still a shortage of manpower in the mining industry, KMIA plans to repropose the'Non-professional Employment' E-9 (for all foreigners including Southeast Asia) visa to the Ministry of Employment and Labor in cooperation with the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy.
ㅇ Operating employment-related programs with specialized high schools
- Operating employment-related programs with graduates of three specialized high schools(Seoul Technical Highschool, Taebaek Machanical Techanical High School, and Jecheon Industrial High School) signed a business agreement in 2019
- Inducing the improvement of the employment rate by operating twice a year
D) Operating “Win-Win Cooperation Council” for stable supply and demand cooperation of domestic steelmaking limestone

B. Building a platform for continuous development of the mining industry
1) Mining law institution improvement
ㅇ Finding revision of related regulations
- The Mining Safety Act: limited depth of mining issue and security management, etc.
- Asbestos Safety Control Act: expansion of asbestos safety control regulation’s management team and
revision of the act.
- Revision of mining industries’ by-product regulation and its disposal plan.
ㅇ Providing Law, management, and PR consultation services to Member Company
- New appointment of law, management, and PR consultation related mining industry technician.
2) Deliberation of mining industry’s development plan
ㅇ Secure funds for support of business circles
☞ Budget for the advancement of domestic mining and secure facility

- Enhance geological features and mining consultant
ㅇ Foster the mining technician’s support

· Establishing energy mineral related high-school as a long-term plan
☞ Korea Mining Technical High-School (Established in 1979.11.21), renamed to Jecheon Industrial High School
since 2006.3

· For students who are willing to work in mining industry, the association’s technicians will make a education program
and commissioned education which is collaborated with Mining Center,
and hire the students as junior technicians (consultation with Yeongwol-gun).
3) Construction of infrastructure for mining development
ㅇ Expand variety of choice in discharge of obligation that regarded with the rehabilitation expense for damage forest

4) Promote internationalization for the development of Korea Mining Industry

- Cooperate with overseas countries having advanced mining technology

ㅇ Cooperate with the overseas investment for Korea Mining Industry’s leap of globalization
- Cooperation strengthening with existing MOU’s contracting parties(Mongol, Peru, Chile)
- Planning for the new project by collaborating with mineral corporation’s branch in the foreign country
5) Develop mineral industry and operate investment to pursuit of common profits among in base Domestic companies
ㅇ Collecting information to plan domestic and overseas promising project
ㅇ Establish a member companies’ consortium for the overseas mineral development
